50 YEARS OF BUILDING BUSINESS IN FARMING INDUSTRY BY TRUST AND DEDICATION

On the 9th of August 1971, ‘W & CP Larwood’ officially became and International Harvester Dealer in Kadina covering both motor trucks and farm equipment.

Larwoods Ag Services is excited to celebrate 50 plus years of partnering with farmers across the Yorke Peninsula and Australia.

From humble beginnings in 1971 at 9 Graves Street, Kadina, William (Bill) Larwood began the journey as the local International Harvester dealer. Drawing on eight years of hands-on farming experience and eight years in agricultural machinery sales, Bill laid the foundations for what Larwoods is today.

Bill firmly believed in a customer- and staff-focused business model, knowing that if you got those fundamentals right, the rest would follow. This philosophy has been the backbone of Larwoods and has been proudly carried forward by Kym Flint and, in turn, Scott Mercer throughout the journey.

Over the past five decades, Larwoods has been heavily invested in our valued staff members—because we are nothing without good people. Staff longevity brings consistency and knowledge, while new team members contribute excitement, fresh ideas, and a well-rounded team dynamic. This balance is more important than ever as we navigate the rapid and exciting changes driven by evolving technology.

I would like to sincerely thank all our staff, both past and present, for their dedication to Larwoods, our products, and our valued business partners. It is a remarkable achievement to have team members with such long service, including Kym Flint (45 years) and Geoff Naylor (41 years), and an incredible 218 years of combined experience across our current team.
